hi. I've used winRar myself and can tell you it works great. It's very friendly. When you have a .rar file and you want to extract it, just find the file with your windows explorer. Once you've found your .rar file, hit your context menu key - the one next to your right windows key. This will bring up some options. You can choose either the "extract all files" or extract "to here" option, and, there ya go! win rar will extract your file. it's that simple. Hope this explanation makes sense. By the way, I don't know where you can download winRar from, but if you search for it in google, you'll certainly find it. Cheers, JoaquĆn

You better get ultimate zip. It's no longer free, but UZ 2.7 is still available (UZ 2.7 is ree). For newer versions: More lisences are getting cheeper and cheeper and ...999 licences would cost 2 and a half bucks in US Money...

i use a program called 7 zip which is both excelent, and free. it handles loads of different compression types including rar files. just my thoughts.
